Thanksgiving 2025
Last year, the CHATT Foundation served nearly 500 meals for Thanksgiving. We need volunteers all week to prepare, cook, clean, and transform our space for the holiday.
Volunteers may be asked to do any of the following:
- Donation Sorting
- Cleaning
- Decorating
- Food Serving or Prepping
- Distribution of items
IMPORTANT NOTES:
**Volunteers can expect to work in close quarters with unsheltered individuals.
- Please arrive at your scheduled time. We have already factored in extra time to get everyone placed and prepared.
- All volunteers must be 13 or older, and all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- All volunteers are expected to wear closed-toed shoes (tennis shoes or sneakers), long pants (no shorts), and a modest top (no crop tops). For those working in the kitchen or around food, you will be asked to wear a hair net and/or put your hair up. Those wearing hats do not have to wear hairnets.
- Lockers are available for volunteer use. Locks are not provided; however, personal locks may be used. Space is limited so please pack lightly.
- There is a water dispenser available for volunteers. Please bring your own refillable water bottle for use.
- Due to the high volume of volunteers on Holidays, we are NOT crediting any community service hours. This includes: court-ordered community service, educationally required community service, TN Promise, Department of Human Services hours, etc. CF staff will NOT sign any verification forms nor create any verification letters.
